I interned at The Center for Children and Families in Monroe, LA during my
last semester of college. I provided mentoring services to youths who were
recently incarcerated and placed on probation. I met with clients at their
home and school, and set specific goals and objectives for them. I worked
diligently to establish a bonding relationship, and to meet them on an
intellectual level. I’d set aside for one hour for educational purposes, while
others hours were set towards extra-curricular activities. I completed a total
of 50 hours at this place of employment.
