Lead Systems Analyst/Manager
• Led the merge of our Data Center with another state agency.
• VMware – Implementation of vSphere 5 on ESXi hardware as well as infrastructure upgrade from
version 4.1. P2V conversions, Site Recovery Manager, Update Manager, vCenter Operations
Manager, vShield Endpoint.
• Windows Server 2003/2008 migration - Upgrade the entire State of Illinois, Department of
Corrections fleet of laptops and desktops to Windows XP(Windows 7) and all servers to Windows
Server 2003/2008.
• Implementation of a Storage Area Network using XIOTech SAN.
• Microsoft Exchange 5.5 implementation, upgrade to Exchange 2003/2007/2010.
• Workstation rollout using Symantec Ghost.
• Wireless connection for 700+ parole agent laptops using WiFi and cellular network.
• Cisco PIX firewall and Cisco ASA 5520 firewall/integrated IPS.
• Installation of Microsoft ISA server and subsequent upgrade to ISA 2006 V5.
• HP Blade Server technology using Blade System C7000 and BL480C Blade Servers.
• Design changes to allow better utilization of network resources using non-state ISP providers for
outside the box network usage (Comcast and Verizon DSL).
• Token Ring to Ethernet conversion at approximately 100 state facilities throughout the state.
Ethernet routing switches were installed and recently upgraded to HP 54xx/26xx.
• Shared Services coordination/implementation: HR and fiscal operations from four separate state
agencies were combined and hosted at IDOC. All applications were either migrated or connectivity
was established with the former agencies either through a direct or a VPN connection.
Other duties:
• Provide training for end-users, network support staff and LAN coordinators.
• Serve as lead technical resource, solving any hardware/software issues and advising management
of available solutions.
• Lead systems analyst responsible for meeting with external auditors and supporting the IT
processes deployed.
• Computer forensic investigation using EnCase software. (EnCase I/II training completed)

at SCI, I recommended the installation of a Local Area Network with twenty workstations. A modern lab was
