Experience:

1. Recently I am working with Fatima Fertilizer Company a big urea

producer in Pakistan as a Rotary mechanical Technician from March

2008.

2. SAUDI SERVICES COMPANY (SAUDI ARABIA) AS MECHANICAL TECH. FROM JUN

2005 TO 18 FEB 2008.

3. JAPAN POWER (135 MW DIESEL- GENERATION) AS MECHNICAL TECHNICIAN FROM

AUG 2001 TO MAY 2005.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

Pumps-

- Complete overhaul boiler feed water pumps and check the journal

bearing clearance by plastic gauge, micrometers, dial indicator, led

wire system, scraping of journal bearing, maintain the bearing

contact with shaft, maintain the clearance of bearing with shaft,

check the crash of bearing and make report of failure causes of

bearings etc..

- Check the thrust bearing clearance, scraping of thrust pads and

maintain thrust clearance.

- Check the mechanical seal, replace the affected spring, carbon face

and hard face, o rings and make report of failure causes of mechanical

seal.

- Check the rotor run out including coupling area, bearing area,

mechanical seal area, and impeller and impeller wearing ring area. And

also check the clearance wearing ring. And also replacing the impeller

and wearing rings.

- Check and adjust the axial float in vertical horizontal pumps.

- Make alignment by (rim & face and reverse) methods.

- Remove the affected ball bearing and mount new bearing.

Hydro couplings (variable speed turbo coupling including gear box)

- Complete overhauling of hydro coupling, check journal bearing

clearance, scraping of journal bearing, maintain the bearing contact

with shaft and also maintain the clearance of bearing with shaft,

check the crash of bearing and make report of failure causes of

bearings.

- Check the thrust bearing clearance, scraping of thrust pads

and maintain thrust clearance.

- Check the gear backlash, clearance and maintain the clearance.

- Check the fusible plug and replace the plugs.

- Check the auxiliary lube oil and lube oil pump and lube oil

pressure control valves.

Turbine

- Complete overhauling the turbine, check journal bearing

clearance, scraping of journal bearing, maintain the bearing contact

with shaft and also check the clearance of bearing with shaft.

- Check the diaphragm, and labyrinth seal clearance.

- Check the steam nozzle HP/MP/LP stage blade of rotor.

- Check the alignment of rotor.

Compressor

- Complete overhauling of the L/Y type reciprocating compressor. Check

the bearing condition and

- Clearance & thrust clearance of crank.

- Check the main crank pin and cross head pin area and crank pin

bush bearing and cross head pin bush bearing.

- Check the cylinder wall clearance of LP / HP Stage piston.

- Check the piston head clearance of LP / HP Stage piston.

- Check and replace the piston rings and rider ring and oil

scraper ring.

- Check loading and unloading valve fix.

- Complete overhauling of centrifugal compressor, screw, Sliding vanes

compressors.

General Responsibilities:

- Maintenance, Trouble shooting and overhauling of all type rotary

industrial equipments.

- Mount the journal bearing and maintain the clearance with tunion.

- Maintain the back lash of girth gear with pinion.

- Maintain the alignment of main shaft with pinion, gearbox and motor.

- Complete overhauling of the turbine, check journal bearing

clearance, scraping of journal bearing, maintain the bearing contact

with shaft and also check the clearance of bearing with shaft.

- Check the diaphragm, and labyrinth seal clearance.

- Check the steam nozzle HP/MP/LP stage blade of rotor.

- Check the alignment of rotor.

- Leveling sub sole plates and sole plats and casing of turbine and

generator and governor unit

- Mount journal bearing maintain clearance, scraping of journal

bearing, maintain the bearing contact with shaft and also check the

clearance of bearing with shaft.

- maintain the diaphragm, and labyrinth seal clearance.

- Work on the steam nozzle HP/MP/LP stage rotor. Maintain the

alignment of casing and rotor.
