Recovery Coordinator of Organ, Tissue, and Cornea

Responsibilities include donor medical record review, preparing

the donor for recovery and sterile surgical removal of bone,

tendon, heart, skin, corneas, and dorsal root ganglia.

Upon removal, these tissues were swabbed for microbiological

testing, packaged, and immediately shipped to the tissue

processor.

Liver and Kidney Organ recovery includes escorting attending

surgeon to designated hospital. Assist physician in preservation

and evaluation of organs for transplantation, aiding by

perfusing liver and kidneys for transplant. Maintain supplies

and assisting in research projects.
