Re: Pharmacy Technician Opening
As a Pharmacy Technician, I am writing to express my strong interest in
joining your pharmacy team.
My background includes 6+ years of experience working as a pharmacy
technician in long-term care formulary settings. Highlights of my
credentials include:
6+ years of pharmacy tech experience.
Bilingual fluency- Spanish and English (speak, read, write).
Experience in both pharmacy and intravenous pharmacy operations.
Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology; third-party formularies and
plan limitations; apothecary and metric systems of weights and measures;
and pharmaceutical calculations.
A proven track record of commended performance in all pharmacy tech
positions held.
After earning my pharmacy technician certification from Inacom in 2005, I
joined the Kindred pharmacy team, where I served as a pharmacy tech for one
of the Wisconsin's leading long-term care pharmacies. I achieved high marks
on my annual reviews throughout my two-year employment with Kindred. I also
earned consistent praise for my attention to detail in filling
prescriptions, maintaining inventory, measuring medications, preparing
various intravenous medications and maintaining up-to-date customer records
and insurance information.
In 2008, I accepted a pharmacy tech position with Alliance pharmacy,
working in its long-term health formulary. As in my previous position, I
was commended for my accuracy, attention to detail, ability to lead and
train new employees, and high productivity level. I also expanded my
knowledge of dosages and indications for a broadened array of medical
conditions during my two years with this pharmacy.
In 2011 I worked at CVS Pharmacy, part time, while seeking a full time
position that would allow me to develop my leadership skills. I accepted a
position at Home Care Medical (HCM), working with hospice and home hospice
patients. I broadened my skills at HCM by gaining experience with mixing
chemotherapy drugs and I.V.'s. I was also afforded opportunities to
develop new work-flow procedures, to assist in productivity of the
technicians.
I would welcome the opportunity for an interview, and I will follow up with
you in a few days to explore this possibility. In the meantime, I am
enclosing my resume for your review, and I hope you will not hesitate to
contact me at 414-***-**** or via email at **************@*****.*** to
arrange a meeting. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to speaking
with you.
Sincerely,
Davie Gonzalez PhT
