OPERATIONS MANAGER; MATERIAL PLANNER; SAFETY DIRECTOR
Serving multiple roles as both a material planner and safety director in a
90,000 sq. foot facility in Bedford Park. Duties range anywhere from
planning what types of steel to purchase based on the schedule of trucks we
are producing for the coming weeks, to scheduling what parts should be run
in various CNC machines in the machine shop. Supervisor of 60-90
employees; welders, machinists, mechanics, and material handlers on both
first and second shifts. Another aspect of my position here is serving as
the lifeline between the shop workers and the office personnel, to make
sure everyone is on the same page on what needs to be done, and the
timeframes to do it. Also responsible for tracking and finding parts once
they have been ordered or nested for burning on our plasma table. Another
aspect is to sift through Bills of Material to make sure all parts for a
truck are either on hand, nested, or purchased by an outside vendor.
Additionally, as Safety Director, I have undertaken massive
responsibilities to insure that all employees a working in a safe
environment in accordance with OSHA standards. When an injury does occur,
it is my job to do a full investigation, document all injuries, and provide
authorization to see our doctor. Thus, in this dual role, I am not only
walking the floor to consistently provide feedback and direction to workers
about what needs to be done, I am also the heart of the safety enforcement.

arm operation for hanging shafts on furnace conveyor belt. Testing
