Cont rol Room Operator (DCS)
• Performs Commissioning, Start up, Shutdown and maintain the normal
operation of COAL F I R E D POWER P LAN T cogeneration boiler (Wuxi,
H u aguang) w ith a capacity of 235 T/H of steam X 3 units and steam turbine
generator ( S IEME NS) w ith a total capacity of 135 MW from the
D istributed Control System (DCS ).
• Responds to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions, execute plant
shut-down and start-up base on the S tandard Operating P rocedure
(SOP), and assure the Plant meets i ts generating requirements while
operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner.
• Provides instructions and t rainings in the proper methods and processes
necessary to carry out assignments.
• Logs the activities for the whole shift.
• Logs and monitor the parameters of the boiler and steam turbine from t ime to
t ime.
• Conducts hydro test and operate the boiler during commissioning period
i ncluding curing or dry out of the refractory.
• Coordinates to the coal handling operators in start ing and stopping loading of
coal to the silos.
• Start up and shutdown the boiler and t urbine base on the S tanda rd
O perating P rocedure (SOP).
• Makes punch list to be submitted to the maintenance department.
• Increase the frequency of the steam turbine generator before starting the big
motors.
• Makes work request for any abnormal parameters like pressure, temperature,
and f low t ransmitters and any leaking such as steam leakage, feed water
leakage, and air leakage to be fix and to be t roubleshoot by the I & C,
E lectrical, and Mechanical maintenance personnel.
• Starts and stop D iesel Generator f rom DCS to compensate some loads of
t he S team T u rbine Generator (STG) w henever there are t roubles in the
STG and Boiler.
• Performs synchronization of the STG, increase and decrease load as per
demand.
• Close and Open the breakers from the S upervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA) .
• Makes daily report and shift log report at the end of the shift and t r ipped
report when boiler and Steam Turbine Generator got t r ipped.
• Coordinates the consumers from the refinery if they need additional process
s team.
• Receives outage calls and call the necessary personnel during power outages
and emergencies.
• Acts as a Shift in charge (SI) in case of the vacation leave and sick leave of the
assigned SI.

Power Plant Operator
• Auxiliary and Control Room Operator of Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB)
Boiler ( ALSTOM) and Steam Turbine Generator ( KAWASAK I) w ith a
capacity of 246 MW.
• Performs commissioning, log, and monitor the parameters of the equipments.
• Increase or reduce load based on Daily Generation Schedule @Turbine
Control Panel (TCP) or in the Distributed Control System (DCS).
• Performs L ining up of valves before starting the equipments, clean and
change fil ters and strainers, clean and change Burner Tips, line up and
s tarts lube oil system.
• On line equipments such as starting air ejector, main ejectors, gland steam
condenser, and electrostatic precipitator.
• Starts and stop equipments such as fans, pumps, and air compressors from
local or in the DCS.
• Start the tu rning device (Turning Gear) of a tu rbine.
• Open and close valves and switches in sequence upon signals from other
workers, in order to start or shut down auxiliary units.
• Test and operate equipments from local such as bottom ash screw cooler, coal
feeder, conveyor, wet and dry fly ash unloader, fly ash t ransmit ter, pumps,
fans, compressors, and diesel generator.
• Lockout and Tag out (LOTO) equipments before doing maintenance work.
• Synchronize the Generator manually or in automatic.
• Inform the load dispatcher about the changes of Load.
• Rack in and rack out the breakers.
• Inform the Control Room Operator (CRO) if there are leaks found and any
abnormalities that were observed in the auxiliaries’ equipments.
• Assist and monitor the activities of maintenance personnel.
• Takes readings from charts, meters and gauges at established in tervals, and
t ake corrective actions if necessary.
• Performs additional job responsibili ties as may be required.
