WORK EXPERIENCE
Trinity Mother Frances Health Systems Tyler, Texas
1/16/1998 to 3/08/2013: Sr. Programmer/Analyst at TMFHS.
Part of programming team managing HBO Patient Admissions/Patient Management. Installing updates, adding
new user reports, managing user accounts, etc… I also manage ZOS RACF and backup for systems
programmer and General Ledger system. I also am database administrator on Report2Web (Redwood
software.)
10 years programmer/administrator for Integral HRMS Payroll.
Assigned users, installed all updates, wrote custom user programs, maintained all databases and ran bi
monthly payrolls as well as quarterly and yearly reports.
With Gary Westog converted the system to be Y2K compliant including all home grown reports.
Converted the HRMS system by myself to ASP.NET, Visual Basic, and SQL databases and produced a read
only system used by Human Resources now in place of the HRMS mainframe system. Used Microsoft SQL
server 2005 and Visual Studio 2010. Used IIS to set up the website.
10 years programmer/administrator for Global GL and AP systems .
Assigned users, installed all updates, wrote custom user programs, maintained all databases and ran GL and
AP end of month and end of year task.
Converted the system to be Y2K compliant including all home grown reports.
8 years as Administrator for Redwood Report2Web system.
Assigned users permissions, setup report distributions to users, security, and troubleshooting.
Reorganized several sections of the R2W hive due to security concerns. Did all of this this for HRMS, AP/GL,
and HBOC.
5 years as programmer on McKesson HBOC Patient Admissions/Patient Management
system.
Created special online system so users could run their own batch/background reports using MS/DOS batch
files, Quick BASIC language, and FTP to send commands and data to the ZOS mainframe.
3 years Administered the Emergency Response Team SharePoint website .
Created it and maintained it. It is still used by the ERT.

11/1980 to 1/1998 Sr. Programmer/Analyst at University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler Texas. Started
on Texas Instruments 990 mini computers with COBOL converting VSE Payroll system to TI COBOL. Then
converted VSE COBOL/JCL payroll system to MVS. I was also System Manager over four TI990 computers
with HIMS (Hospital Information System), Pharmacy, and Materials Management systems. Assigned user
ids/passwords, security, as well as COBOL updates on all systems, generated new operating systems as
required, troubleshooting, database management. Also helped convert all systems to MVS COBOL/JES.
EDUCATION
Graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, 1980 with BBA General Business, Minor Computer Science.
Accrued 198 Semester hours of credit.
