Work Experience
Ÿ Nacogdoches Medical Center Nacogdoches, Texas (March 2013) Attended 100 hours
of clinicals which included over 100 successful venipunctures submitted to the
laboratory for testing. Skin punctures included heel sticks and finger sticks. Worked
in outpatient, inpatient, and ICU departments. In completion of clinicals earned 24
hours of continuing education units and 240 contact hours with a training certificate
in blood borne pathogens in healthcare facilities.
Ÿ Legacy Learning Center 11650 Custer Rd McKinney, Texas. As the assistant teacher,
helped provide a stimulating environment with materials that encourage self-
exploration and peer interaction. Also, we built on word vocabulary and the
understanding of others while encouraging independence and self-confidence. Finally,
focused on letter recognition, identifying shapes and colors, sensory exploration and
relational concepts, as well as helping children learn fundamental skills through play.
