Work Experience

Company & Location: Energy Bio Chemicals - CAROM Branch

Report to: Branch Director and to CEO.

Responsibilities:

. I am the main responsible for continous operation, P&L balance and

life-cycle cost analysis regarding energy and utilities sistems.

. I coordinate all activities relating with participation to the free

power and gas market, with more 1 milion euro/month turnover.

. I lead all Operations & Maintenance activities to ensure the

continuous and uninterrupted supply of utilities to all customers

(internal and external)

. I lead the construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance for

the new energy & utilities facilities

. Lead the technical expertise and provide engineering knowledge for

troubleshooting complex engineering problems, for the bottlenecking at

the construction or operation stage.

. Develops and seeks approval for annual manpower and resources budgets,

and monitors performance to ensure activities are appropriately

supported and within approved schedule and budget levels.

. Develops and gains approval for Quality Management procedures to guide

and direct the achievement of engineering objectives.

. I coordinated the tender inputs and deliver the technical approval of

key engineering documents.

. Ensures compliance with HSE Standards.

Starting 2012 I`m part of the leading team witch coordinate one big project

( more twenty milion euros ) in the petrochemical field - desulphurisation

and selective hydrogenation for the C4 fraction upfront of the butadiene

factory.

This is one international project with UOP (a Honeywell

company) and one big EPCM Company. I had participate in the UOP head office

in Des Plaines, IL - USA to the PFD Review Meeting and P&ID Review

Meeting. In this moment I`m involved in coordination of the detailing

design and the procurement for the main equipments and the hydrogen plant.

Responsibilities:

I lead the specific activities for:

- Industrial refrigeration plant with compression of propylene or ammonia,

ammonia-water and BrLi - water absorbtion (TRANE) and steam ejection (-12,

-7, 0 and +7 Celsius deg.) More 50 MW cooling capacity.

- Compressed air, liquid nitrogen and oxygen by air separation (three units

of 1500 Nm3/h of N2)

- Raw water plant, cooling towers & pumps (more 60 MW cooling capacity),

firefighting systems

- Steam boilers more 250 t/h

- High and medium voltage power station (2 x 40 MVA)

- utilities network

Main achievements:

I was the main responsable for:

. Construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of three big

thermal (steam) plants (25, 80 and 185 t/h at 36 and 15 bars) with

natural gas and heavy oil (SAACKE rotary cup and steam atomising)

burners.

. Introducing of a new chemical treatment for make-up and boiler water

with NALCO Chemicals

. Construction of a new refrigeration plant ( 1.5 MW at -70C) for

polymerisation plant

. Modernising of the steam producing and distribution systems through

introducing alternative fuel and new insulation systems

. Construction of a new nitrogen plant (PSA process) with AtlasCopco

. Modernising of the huge compressed air systems through introducing of

the new and efficient compressors Mattei - Cameron, and new and

automatisated dry station Gardner Denver

. Modernising the cooling & raw water pumping systems through

introducing frequency converters for water pumps

. Construction, operation and maintenance for big domestic and

industrial HVAC systems (up to 9 MW).

In parallel: HVAC Technical Manager (part time) - for a small private

company 1997 - 2009

. I was 50% shareholder and part time employed as Technical Manager in

a business with HVAC equipments specially: FERROLI, RIELLO,CIAT,

YORK, McQUAY, SAACKE, WILO, SCHMIDT&BRETTEN.

. In this time I participated to the sales, mounting, commissioning and

service for wall hung boilers, more 100 hot water and steam boilers

and burning plant for municipalities and private companies, a lot of

air conditioning systems, more 25 water chillers applications, 22 big

district thermal station with hot water boilers.

. I provided commissioning team with technology requirements for

engineering applications

. I provided technical support to the project on commissioning,

operating procedures and troubleshooting

. I applied engineering technical expertise related to design,

specification and operation of facilities

. Participated in and assisting with the co-ordination of the

Project's performance test(s).

. Reviewing commissioning deliverables issued by Contractors and

Suppliers

. Contributing to the Commissioning Group's improvement process

and close-out report.

1998 - 2004 (part time) SAACKE Service & Commissioning Engineer

(industrial burners).

In this time I participated to the erection, commissioning and post-

guarantee service activity for much more twenty-five Saacke applications in

power, industrial and naval The main activities was:

. Technical support to commissioning staff

. Cooperation for the equpments hand over from construction to

commissioning with the preparation of detailed schedule and listing of

the punch points

. Participation to the inspection for punch list definition

. Supervision and checking the pre-commissioning activity that are

managed by the boiler vendor personnel

. Boiler delivering to Germanishe Lloyds Register, TUV, ISCIR (romanian

autorities for pressure equippments)
