Completed a Residential Project with Zero Waste Management at Kalaivanar Nagar,

Pondicherry in which

Kitchen waste and Night soil is converted to Biogas for Cooking purpose.

Grey water from bathroom and Washing machine is given natural (root zone)

treatment and used for toilet flushing and gardening.

Terrace rain water is trapped and given natural treatment and stored in a loft

tank and used for drinking and cooking purpose.

Vermicomposting is done with garden waste. Manure from vermicomposting is used for

kitchen garden .

Coconut shell incinerator is used for cooking purpose.

Energy saving is about 40 % to 50%.

Water saving is about 40% to 50%.

The building has a outside garden and it automatically pumps in fresh air.

No artifical lighting is needed during day time.

Presently : Working with an NGO on Waste management,fisherman livelihood program

& Marine biodiversity.

A case study was done on Municipal Solid Waste Management at Kulithalai, Trichy

where manure is produced from waste (2011).

A case study was done on Municipal Solid waste Management at Vellore golden temple

in converting their municipal solid waste to manure and biogas (2011).

A case study was done on the production of Biogas from Municipal Solid Waste at

Mahabalipuram, Chennai (2011).

A case study was done on biomedical waste management at Thuthipatu, Sedarapet main

road

Puducherry ( 2012).

Submitted an article on "Solid Waste Management done in Kulithalai" to the

Magazine Building & Construction published in the month of January 2011.

Participated in the debate held on International Women's Day on 7th March 2009

at alliance Francaise of Pondicherry on the Topic "Role of Women in Today's
