OBJECTIVE

I am an experienced mechanical /electrical engineer specialized in advanced problem solving for the industrial, medical, and aerospace fields. I develop turn-key solutions to complex problems with a clear objective driven approach. I have management experience of multidisciplinary teams to efficiently carry out project plans.

I bring a depth of experience from completed projects in the following fields:

- Electronics engineering (analog, digital, RF). Process control (including metal cutting,

forming, rotating machinery, and machine dynamics)

- Mechanical engineering design and analysis.

- Biological & medical device engineering.

- Digital signal processing.

- PCB design, assembly, and testing.

- Cutting tool engineering.

- Industrial production systems.

- Composite material fabrication.

- Digital image analysis & fraud detection.

- Composite engineering, design, and methods.

- Electromechanical design.

- Turbo machinery mechanical design.

- Sensor development.

- Control systems for variable geometry turbo machinery.

- Acoustic analysis and structure design.

- Fermenter design, biological reactor design.

- Additive silicon carbide reaction bonded manufacturing.

- Design of vacuum equipment including high temperature furnaces and composite processes.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Software skills and licenses: Hardware skills and retained resources:

-MATLAB

-Precision machining

-Altium Designer

-Composite fabrication (various methods)

-Pro Engineer PCB prototype assembly

-ANSYS, FEA, CFD, Dynamics

-Electronics prototyping

-Atmel Studio

-Electronics diagnostic equipment

-Various programming languages

-Sensor hardware- strain (force, pressure), acceleration, temperature, and specialty

I retain software and up to date skills for mechanical CAD, electrical CAD, FEA, CFD, and programming. I have embedded and PC programming skills. I can develop, test, and fabricate solutions on site at your facility using tools at my disposal. I have a portfolio of custom developed sensor hardware for wireless sensing applications, direct sensor digitization, and electronic test equipment. I also have the resources to machine custom parts and develop

mechanical components for projects on a demand basis.

RECENT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I have 10 years of industry experience. Select projects include:

Design and testing of variable geometry turbocharger controller for Blaylock Turbo and OEM replacement.

Wireless sensor integrated metal cutting tools (high speed rotating tooling) for Kennametal.

Lead developer of machining and process control sensors for Caron Engineering TMAC-MP.

I created forming tension sensors/controller for Corning Cable Systems for fiber optic cable armoring production lines.

Designed custom software for a high profile client to detect Photoshop edits within digital images on an automated basis (Rigour image analysis software).

Production of composite tooling to increase DOC and reduce chatter in machining operations.

Development of an intracranial pressure sensor for neurosurgery and trauma monitoring.

Development of wireless power systems for resonant induction power transfer.

Development of novel ferrofluid based pumps to mimic biological pump function during perfusion. Extension of this work is exploring use for LVAD applications.

EDUCATION

I earned two academic degrees. I value my industry experience more than academic degrees and I believe the key part of

working successfully is listening and learning from others regardless of educational achievements.
