I have progressively moved upward within the same company over the last 15
years. I began as a site receptionist and worked my way thru each of the
office supporting positions including purchasing, expediting, and project
planning. Knowledge gained from each of these positions provided with me
the skills and experience to become a successful warehouse manager.
My responsibilities as WAREHOUSE MANAGER with direct report to the
corporate controller include:
> Manage, supervise, organize and coordinate work flow, manage multiple
tasks, deadlines, and projects of the departments and staff of:
* Inventory Control
* Shipping
* Receiving
* Logistics
> Managing operating costs for the Warehouse per established yearly
budget
> Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget;
scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective
actions.
> Ensures that all API and ISO process requirements are met and able to
pass audit.
> Write and implement new processes and procedures to better control
inventory accuracy and inventory turns
> Manages the scrap of written-off inventory reserves process,
Disposition of surplus and obsolete inventories
> Implement training and staffing plans, weekly staff meetings
> Utilizes process improvement techniques to reduce lead time, eliminate
bottlenecks, and improve overall material flow
> Ensures outbound shipments comply with the DOT HAZMAT, IATA & ICAO
Shipping Regulations
> Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving areas to
storage and/or work areas
> Audit daily cycle counts and annual physical inventory
> Manages quality control and product flow processes to ensure the on
time delivery of material
> Analyzing transportation and warehouse invoice data to identify cost
savings opportunities
> Analyze and resolve non-conformances
> Review and maintain accuracy of Stock Status Reports
> Devise and implement processes to control inventory components during
on call and weekend hours
> Review stock item requests for need and demand
> Assign new part numbers for items not previously stocked
> Develop, manage, and evaluate KPI for progress and or improvement
potential
> Design and implement office policies by establishing standards and
procedures
> Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and
training employees
> Conduct annual evaluations, reviews, and estimates salary increases
