June 2007-October 2008

• I was offered an opportunity to grow a laboratory and prepare it for sale with the hopes of earning

a percentage of payout.

• The goal was to grow the laboratory located in Bakersfield and bring in business from Los

Angeles. Physicians Automated Lab decided not to sell and therefore the sales team and book of

business were sold to Westcliff Medical Laboratories November 2008.

• Sold clinical laboratory and pathology services to physician offices throughout the Greater Los

Angeles area.

• Managed and maintained the business while continuously looking for new business. Within a

Primex Clinical Laboratory, Inc. Tarzana. CA

October 2006-May 2007

• My goal was to grow the laboratory and bring Primex into new areas. Opened two patient service

centers generating 200 samples weekly within a 6 month time frame.

• Primex Clinical Laboratory picked up an HMO contract in the Valley (West Hills, Van Nuys). I

was given responsibility to convert and manage the new business.

Quest Diagnostics Tarzana/West Hills. CA

2004-2006

(Acquisition grandfathered in 1992-2006)

• Focused exclusively on generative new business, receiving referrals from existing clients, and

cold calling the Los Angeles physician market.

• Introduced new testing methodologies and created organic growth with established accounts.

• Maintained a territory for the ten years during which time doubled in revenue.

• Ranked top five for sales within the last 3 years and ranked #2 in 2005

• Selected first to introduce internet connectivity to physician market in my territory in order

retrieve laboratory results electronically and was most recently the first to have their territory

transitioned through the Quest/Unilab conversion due to the strength on the relationships with

my clients and the lower risk of lost business.

• Attrition was very low to none.

• Have consistently met greater than 100% of my new business quota.

• Sales/Service: New Business revenue while managing client retention i.e., billing, service, etc.

• Introduced Thin Prep the liquid based pap which changed the way the industry submits a pap

smear. Unilab and Quest Diagnostics are know the pave the way for better testing and develop a

standard of testing throughout the clinical laboratory industry.
