The customer is a leading Canadian-based financial services group
serving millions of clients in 22 countries and territories worldwide for
more than 120 years. As part of this project, multiple SQL instances are
being upgraded from SQL Server 2000/2005 to SQL Server 2008.
Roles and Responsibilities:
. Responsible for installation and configuration of SQL server 2005
database on Servers.
. Implementation of SQL Logins, Roles and Authentication Modes as a part
of Security Policies for various categories of users.
. Attending weekly status meetings and provide detailed status report to
the client/onsite
co-ordinator.
. Upgrading databases from SQL 2000/2005 to SQL 2008.
. Running Upgrade Advisor 2008 and fix the issues.
. Rebuilding indexes and update statistics for better performance.
. Trobleshooting and fixing the performance related issues on post
upgradation.
