Employed by National Grid US, on a contract basis, for assistance in Project Controls working in National Grid’s Work Delivery team. Assisting the program management function and the integration of the new Alliance businesses venture that was established and also assisting the existing internal departments. Focusing on work allocation and portfolio management of the businesses’ capital plan to ensure resource efficiencies are gained and power outages minimized as part of the integrated system. Assisted the Implementation of a new Project Management system using P6, ensuring departmental integration, and development of business processes to ensure long term visibility and progress monitoring of the business portfolio for resource, cost and schedule. The initial main focus was ensuring that baselines were created and approved by the project teams responsible as well as updating the schedules and developing the processes to accompany a robust project controls practice.
