EXPERIENCE
Superintendent, D.R. Horton, Inc., Albany OR (Jan. 2005 to present). Ran both the 211 home, Bridle Springs Subdivision and phase one of the 267 home, Benton Woods Subdivision. These projects consist of model homes, greens spaces, park areas and dozens of floor plans. Responsibilities have included, vendor selection, job scheduling, safety meetings, sales meetings, quality control, supervising assistants, City inspections, tracking extra costs, writing field PO’s, and all jobsite correspondence with, Corporate office, vendors, City, County, HOA, Sales staff, Warranty department, Design Center and the public. I have also been simultaneously been managing customer service for multiple subdivisions in my region.
Assistant Superintendent, Adair Homes, Bend, OR (Jan. 2003 to Dec. 2004). Member of a four person management team leading the production of a 180 home per year company branch. Responsibilities include interviewing & training framing subcontractors, site evaluations, midpoint inspections, front end scheduling, governmental inspections, lumber, window and tub ordering, tracking additional foundation expenses, homeowner correspondence.
General Contractor, Northwest Building Systems (CCB#108166), Albany, OR (1995 to 2002). President and half owner of a residential design/build company. Achieved a reputation for high quality home building. Involved in all phases including land development, public utilities, project design and permitting, scheduling, subcontractor management, sitework, construction, and marketing the final product.
Project Engineer, American Truss Co., Oahu, Hawaii (1994 to 1995). Responsibilities included customer sales and consultation, truss design & layouts, shop drawings, generating engineering calculations, project correspondence, field troubleshooting, and plant safety.
Foreman, D.R. Winn Construction, Albany, OR (1993 to 1994). Framing and finish carpentry crew leader for custom residential home builder. Responsible for lumber takeoffs, daily log sheets, labor hour reports and timely project completion.
Union Carpenter, Brockamp & Jaeger, Oregon City, OR (1991 to 1993). Skills developed in rough framing, finish carpentry, surveying, and concrete formwork . Projects include the Tualitin High School, and several small church additions.
