Overview

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking .NET Developers to work onsite at the Shipley Building Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) in Columbus, Ohio. This position requires candidates to be located within commuting distance of Columbus and offers a collaborative, agile environment focused on modern application development and legacy system modernization.

As a .NET Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable applications that align with ODPS standards. You will collaborate closely with IT supervisors, project managers, business analysts, QA developers, and other team members to deliver high-quality, efficient, and user-friendly solutions. This role also involves mentoring junior developers, providing technical support, and ensuring best practices are followed across all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement .NET applications using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.

Rewrite and modernize legacy applications to align with current ODPS standards.

Develop and maintain N-tier architectures that ensure scalability and performance.

Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA, and developers in an agile environment.

Conduct requirements gathering, architecture design, application testing, and deployment activities.

Present project updates, demos, and technical documentation to stakeholders.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Minimum Qualifications

Proven experience in .NET application development using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.

Demonstrated experience developing and deploying N-tier applications.

Strong understanding of modern software development practices and agile methodologies.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to manage time and resources effectively to meet project deadlines.

Must pass an ODPS background check.

Prior experience modernizing or rewriting legacy systems.

Experience mentoring or leading junior development staff.

Familiarity with public sector or public safety environments.

Strong customer service mindset aligned with a public safety mission.

Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects. What We Do:
