Job Title: SRE / DevOps Senior Principal Engineer / Architect

Experience Required:

7+ years in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure for large-scale eCommerce platforms.

Design, implement, and monitor Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices including SLIs/SLOs, proactive alerting, incident response, and RCA.

Lead 24/7 on-call rotations with ownership of system reliability, mitigation, and resolution of P0/P1 incidents.

Define and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, or Packer.

Manage and scale Linux-based systems and cloud-native services in Microsoft Azure.

Automate deployment and release pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.

Integrate and manage observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or New Relic.

Collaborate with platform, application, and security teams to design resilient, compliant, and cost-optimized cloud architectures.

Forecast capacity needs based on usage patterns and ensure proactive scaling.

Conduct infrastructure audits, chaos testing, and runbook maintenance.

Ensure disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies are implemented and tested.

Design and build distributed systems with attention to security, performance, and maintainability.

Implement self-healing systems to minimize MTTR (Mean Time To Recovery).

Technical Skillset:

Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure (Certified Solutions Architect/Admin preferred)

Languages & OS: Linux, Python

Databases & Messaging: Kafka, Aerospike, MongoDB Atlas, In-memory databases

Containerization: Kubernetes (K8s)

Networking: DNS, routing, NAT, subnetting

Security Tools: WAF, DDoS protection, Azure Front Door

Automation & Monitoring: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, New Relic

Leadership & Governance:

Provide architectural leadership and technical mentorship to engineering teams.

Drive adherence to governance frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices.

Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and team productivity.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Hands-on experience in eCommerce product/platform development is highly desirable.

Ability to work under pressure and provide support during critical incidents.
