Job Description
Austin Preparatory School, located in Reading, Massachusetts about 15 miles north of Boston, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Events Administrative Assistant. Founded in 1961, Austin Prep is an independent co-educational Catholic day school in the Augustinian tradition for students in grades 6-12. There are 800+ students enrolled in the school.
The Events Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Assistant Head of School - Administration and Special Projects and will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Assistant Head of School, focusing on event coordination, calendar management, expense reports, and general office tasks.
Responsibilities
Varied Responsibilities: Manage an Assistant Head of School’s calendar, handle communication with external partners, and organize important events
Assist with expense management by collecting receipts and submitting expenses
Help organize meetings and events, including agenda and program and booklet creation
Handle data analysis in Excel, Axiom and working with large data sets
Create PowerPoint presentations and provide other administrative support as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, supporting a senior-level executive, preferably in an educational or event planning environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills. Experience with design tools such as Canva and Adobe InDesign is a plus
Strong organizational skills, Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and time-management skills
