About the Opportunity
Nesco Resource has been exclusively engaged by a nationally recognized engineering firm to identify a Senior Structural Engineer for a critical contract engagement. This role is ideal for a seasoned structural engineer with a strong background in industrial design, seismic and retrofit engineering, and a proven ability to lead projects independently from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Lead small-scale industrial projects from concept to completion
Execute seismic and retrofit structural design work per applicable codes
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including internal engineers and external stakeholders
Conduct site visits based on project location and requirements
Prepare calculations, reports, and design documents
Provide technical leadership and mentorship when applicable
Ensure designs comply with client specifications, safety standards, and local/state codes
Preferred Qualifications
15+ years of experience in industrial structural engineering
Strong expertise in seismic and retrofit design
PE License preferred, especially in AL.
Proven ability to manage and deliver on small-scale engineering projects independently
Willingness and ability to travel for occasional site visits
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., STAAD, RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent)
