The Position:
We are looking for Trainee Software Developers to join one of our R&D teams. The selected candidates will be trained for 3 to 3.5 months to become good developers capable of working on enterprise-level applications. After the end of the internship period, there is a good possibility of full-time employment based on satisfactory performance during the internship.
The chosen individuals will work out of the Contour Software Islamabad resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Job Description:
Opportunity to learn more about cloud architecture and applications through hands-on project development and training. Candidate will own small parts of the overall solution for a project or program. This job provide the potential to participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
Candidate will pair with engineers at times to create unit tests, release automation, and create and execute performance testing. Responsibilities may also include creating reporting pages and dashboards, creating operational tools and routine monitoring of availability of key services, also known as uptime. Candidate may also be tasked with identifying inefficiencies and best practices in storage and AWS service usage directly resulting in AWS cost savings month over month.
Skills Required:
Candidate should have a variety of skills that can be matured into a more specific skillset as their experience increases. Candidate should be a fast-learner with the desire to collaborate and learn from others while also being self-driven and willing to try and learn independently.
Candidate must have a true passion for technology and solving technical challenges. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable creating technical documentation such as workflow diagrams, process diagrams and user guides.
Experience with at least one programming language is required: [C#, Java, Go, Python, or similar]. C# is preferred.
Basic understanding of the following:
The five pillars of a well-architected frameworks
Basic knowledge of key AWS services such as S3, Step-functions, Lambda, EC2 etc.
Web services, API, REST
Cloud storage principles
Knowledge of the real estate industry is a plus
AWS certifications are a big plus
