Business Development Director – Staffing (Hybrid – Vancouver, WA - Portland area OR Boise, ID)
Base + Uncapped Commission $100K–$120K+ DOE
A growing staffing firm is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead market expansion efforts across engineering, IT, and professional verticals. This leadership role is ideal for a proven deal-closer with strong experience in staffing sales, team management, and strategic client engagement—including selling SOW and custom workforce solutions.
Location: Hybrid role based in Vancouver, WA (preferred - closer to Portland,) or Boise, ID
Compensation: Base salary + uncapped commission (OTE $100K–$120K+ depending on experience)

What You'll Do:
Drive new business development and client acquisition for both contract and direct hire staffing solutions.
Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing sales team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (HR, procurement, execs).
Identify new markets and develop strategies to increase market share.
Collaborate cross-functionally on proposals, RFPs, and sales strategy.
Represent the company at networking events, both in-person and virtual.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of successful sales/business development experience in the staffing industry.
3+ years of experience selling both contract and direct-hire staffing solutions.
2+ years in team management (including hiring, coaching, and performance management).
Strong knowledge of MSPs, VMS, and strategic sales techniques (RFP process/negotiation).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
A true hunter with a strong track record of prospecting, closing, and growing accounts.
