The Senior IT Specialist role was identified as necessary to support growing operational demands and aligns directly with departmental goals of improving helpdesk performance, expanding automation initiatives, and enhancing system stability. This position oversees SLA metrics, acts as the top-tier technical escalation point, and assists with AI and cloud-based projects critical to the company's digital transformation. It also supports business continuity by managing Yardi Voyager systems and mentoring junior staff. This role ensures our IT infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and aligned with company-wide efficiency and innovation goals.
Requirements
The Senior IT Specialist is a leadership-level position responsible for managing IT helpdesk operations, serving as the top technical escalation point, and assisting with technology initiatives including AI integration and cloud migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee helpdesk performance, SLA metrics, and ticket workflows
Resolve complex Tier 1–3 technical issues
Assist with AI and automation projects (e.g., SOP bots, process optimization)
Support cloud migrations and enforce IT security policies
Maintain documentation, mentor junior staff, and support Yardi Voyager systems

Stronger internal IT capability through mentoring and documentation
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field– OR – equivalent combination of experience and certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Azure)
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years of helpdesk management with proven success in SLA oversight and service delivery
Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with AI tools (e.g., chatbot frameworks, automation platforms)
Experience with Microsoft environments: Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint
Hands-on experience resolving complex hardware, software, and networking issues
Experience managing enterprise ticketing systems and optimizing helpdesk workflows
Key Skills:
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
Excellent project management and communication skills
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Power Automate)
Knowledge of IT security practices, including MFA, patching, and endpoint protection
Ability to produce and maintain IT documentation and SOPs
