The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking qualified professionals to support its Business Reporting Development & Maintenance initiatives. The roles include an IT Project Manager III, Agile Software Developer, Data Warehouse / Power BI Developer, Oracle Developer, and a Software Developer specializing in Microsoft Azure Synapse. These positions are critical for the development, maintenance, and support of GPO's reporting tools and systems, including Power BI and Business Objects, with a focus on transitioning towards Azure Synapse for advanced reporting solutions.

Agile Software Developer

Responsibilities:

Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Develop, test, and implement software applications and reports using Microsoft Azure Synapse, Power BI, and other relevant technologies.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.

Design, develop, and maintain databases and data models.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

Troubleshoot and debug software issues.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in software development, with a focus on agile methodologies.

Strong programming skills in relevant languages and technologies, such as Microsoft Azure Synapse and Power BI.

Experience with database design and development.

Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Must be able to pass a background check and suitability for working on government programs.

Data Warehouse / Power BI Developer

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions using Microsoft Azure Synapse.

Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.

Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize data and provide insights to business users.

Optimize data warehouse performance and ensure data quality and accuracy.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements.

Provide technical support and training to users on data warehouse and Power BI tools.

Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data warehousing and business intelligence.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in data warehouse development and Power BI reporting.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Synapse and related technologies.

Experience with ETL processes and tools.

Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and SQL.

Excellent data visualization and reporting skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to pass a background check and suitability for working on government programs.

Oracle Developer

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement Oracle database solutions and applications.

Write PL/SQL code to develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

Develop and maintain database schemas and data models.

Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.

Troubleshoot and debug Oracle application issues.

Provide technical support and documentation for Oracle systems.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Oracle database development and administration.

Strong PL/SQL programming skills.

Experience with Oracle database tools and technologies.

Knowledge of database design and data modeling principles.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Must be able to pass a background check and suitability for working on government programs.
