The opportunity

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Specialist to join our Analytics Team. In this exciting role, you will develop and maintain metrics and reporting solutions that empower our stakeholders to enhance student success. You will leverage tools like SQL, Power BI, and DAX to analyze data, create engaging visualizations, and provide actionable insights in collaboration with our team of Analysts, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Database Developers. You will report directly to the Director of Analytics.

In this Role You'll Get To:

Analyze data from multiple sources to create impactful reporting solutions for our stakeholders.

Code and maintain reporting solutions using MS SQL, Power BI, and other tools.

Collaborate with university stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver timely analyses.

Provide guidance on analytical methodologies to solve business challenges.

Create and present executive-level visualizations to interpret findings and share actionable recommendations.

Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Participate in design and implementation of process improvement initiatives.

Ensure consistency in reporting and data sources through collaboration with other team members.

Actively engage in the exploration and implementation of AI-enabled tools in our analytics efforts.

Contribute to our data governance initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

At least 6 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics, focusing on reporting and data storytelling.

A minimum of 2 years of practical experience with MS SQL, Power BI, and DAX.

A Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, sciences, or a related field.

Knowledge of modern data warehouse concepts and experience with relational databases.

Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

Ability to design compelling visualizations to explain complex business concepts.

Experience managing stakeholder relationships from request to deployment.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $77,794.00 - $124,491.00, based on skills, qualifications, and experience. We anticipate hiring within the target range of $85,961.00 - $116,299.00.
