Who You Are: The Advanced EMT Instructor will provide quality instruction to adult students through both classroom and clinical experiences. We are looking for an experienced EMS Instructor who has a passion for helping others become the best version of themselves.
What You’ll Possess
Qualified Candidates will possess or be willing to obtain:
National and state AEMT or higher certification/license
EMS instructor license
CPR instructor license
Minimum of three years’ experience of related work experience.
You’ll have familiarity with pedagogy and the training and development of others.
You are detail-oriented and organized.
You'll strive to exceed expectations and have excellent communication skills.
You'll take the initiative, seek out projects, and openly accept other duties as assigned.
You continually look for ways to improve your skill set and are always open to receiving feedback.

What You’ll Do
Essential Functions:
Develop and Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the curriculum goals as well as the individual needs of each student.
Instruct students in accordance with the AEMT curriculum approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the National EMS Education Standards in the following areas:
EMS Foundations: Systems, ethics, roles, anatomy, physiology
Patient Assessment: Scene size-up, primary and secondary assessments, clinical decision making
Airway Management: Advanced airways, ventilation, oxygen therapy, capnography
Medical Emergencies: Cardiac, respiratory, diabetic, allergic reactions, behavioral health
Trauma: Hemorrhage control, shock management, musculoskeletal injuries, burns
Pharmacology: IV therapy, fluid resuscitation, AEMT-approved medications, dose calculation
Obstetrics & Pediatrics: Childbirth, neonatal care, pediatric assessment, and emergencies
Operations: Ambulance operations, MCI, hazardous materials, scene safety
Supervise and evaluate student performance during clinical rotations
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, competencies, and progress
Ensure all instruction meets applicable safety, certification, and regulatory standards
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Adjunct: July - June, primarily evenings on a part-time schedule
Salary: $30/hour
