Responsible for BSP and MTP development for current and new product lines. Improve embedded drivers, algorithms, and BSP layers to support new functionality. Design, implement, debug, and test manufacturing test code for use on the Weber production line. Collaborate closely with the Hardware team to develop robust drivers and efficient tests. Support hardware and software testing at all levels and stages, with appropriately integrated test tools and utilities. Collaborate with experienced engineers to create new designs, improve operating system performance, and make robust and efficient software, per design requirements. Be involved in the entire product development life cycle from inception through mass production, including mapping requirements and working across engineering and product teams. Assist in build and packaging solutions to ship product to customers. May work from any location within the United States.
2 years of experience as an Embedded Systems/Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Developer, Design Engineer, QA Engineer, or any other occupation in which the required skills were gained. Requires demonstrated experience in: C or C++; Git; Java or Python; Testframeworks (PyTest, JUnit, Gunit, or Appium); RTOS; Software for displays and capacitive sensors; Embedded systems development for cameras; UART or I2C protocols; and Wireless signal processing.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
