The Boeing Company’s Workday Total Rewards, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking organization is seeking a Workday Configuration Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on delivering valuable functionality to the Boeing HR organization. This position can be located in Everett, WA, Arlington, VA, Charleston, SC, Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Huntsville, AL, Long Beach, CA, El Segundo, CA, Mesa, AZ, Renton, WA, Ridley Park, PA, Berkeley, MO, or Hazelwood, MO.
The ideal applicant for this role will have previous proven experience with Workday implementation and post-implementation optimization, as well as a sound understanding of HR processes and operational framework. The ideal applicant will also have proven success in partnering with HR teams to iterate and optimize Workday tools to deliver solutions that drive the organization forward and provide excellent end-user experiences.
The selected applicant will have a User-Centered Design/Human-Centered Design mindset and experience empathizing with users and developing problem statements that address the needs of our various employee personas. Within our Workday Development model, the Workday Configuration Specialist must have a solid grasp of Workday Development and understand how to successfully work within the shared touchpoints model of the Workday platform.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide Functional Analysis in support of Workday Development teams
Spearhead configuration, testing, and deployment of assigned functionality features and enhancements
Provide Workday Operational support, including assistance in troubleshooting incidents and trouble tickets
Support recurring operational events and actions
Support Workday product offerings (HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Compensation, Absence, Extend, etc.) along with some legacy HR applications
Maintain proper documentation of changes and updates to align to audit processes
Partner with business teams, process architects, and colleagues to assess impact of proposed changes and solution designs
Execute events in Workday, as well as EIBs and mass operation moves to support the events
Utilize core understanding of Workday Security Model, design and redesign
Provide Post-Production Support
Provide Hypercare support for major releases of new capabilities
Support change management and training of deployed systems
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience configuring, implementing, and administering Workday functionality in one or more functional areas: Time and Absence, Benefits, Compensation, and/or Payroll
3+ years of experience in Requirements Management
3+ years of experience with requirements-based testing
3+ years of experience working with HR teams in deploying and supporting HR technology
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
One or more of the following Workday Partner/Customer Certifications: Workday Absence, Benefits, Compensation/Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Time Tracking, HCM Core, Performance and/or Talent
3+ years of experience in a role that required Project Management skills
Experience developing and implementing process improvements
Experience in design thinking, user centered design, human centered design

Summary pay range: $108,800 - $147,200
