Are you ready to lead with purpose and shape the first impression of hospice care?

Mountain Valley is searching for a dynamic, solutions-driven leader to serve as our next Director of Patient Access. This isn’t just a leadership position, it’s a chance to create a patient experience that’s welcoming, efficient, and deeply compassionate from the very first interaction.

Every Patient. Every Family. Every Time.

At Mountain Valley, what we do is personal. Personal for those we serve and personal for us. Every day we stand shoulder to shoulder with individuals facing the most daunting challenge they will ever face – a serious, or even a terminal, illness. We help those with advanced illness cope with their day-to-day struggles, whether physical, emotional, social or spiritual. We also aspire to help our communities better understand end-of-life care. For those of us at Mountain Valley, there could never be a more important or rewarding job.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead all access-related operations by guiding a team that serves as the front door to our services, building systems that run smoothly, empowering staff, and ensuring that patients feel supported every step of the way

Evaluate and strengthen the full patient access journey—from initial inquiry to admission.

Implement strategies that streamline operations, reduce barriers, and enhance both patient and team satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Create clarity in roles and responsibilities to foster accountability and seamless teamwork.

Build a high-performing, empowered team through mentorship, coaching, and visible leadership.

Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to align access functions with system-wide goals.

The Kind of Leader We’re Excited to Meet

You’re not just experienced—you’re thoughtful, driven, and genuinely care about the people behind the process. You know that first impressions matter, and you’re ready to lead a team that helps patients feel cared for from the very first call.

Here’s what helps you stand out:

Education: BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in patient access or similar healthcare operations.

Expertise: You’re a change-maker with a proven ability to streamline processes, improve outcomes, and remove barriers to care.

Knowledge: You’re well-versed in healthcare operations and regulatory standards, and you bring the confidence to lead your team through complex compliance requirements.

Leadership Style: You lead with approachability, prioritize collaboration, and take pride in developing others to do their best work.

Why You’ll Love It Here

At Mountain Valley, we believe patient access is more than a process—it’s a promise. A promise to meet patients with care and clarity from their first call to their first visit. You’ll join a team that’s mission-driven, people-focused, and committed to doing what’s right—every patient, every family, every time.
