Volt is immediately hiring for Machine Operators for a company located in Cerritos, CA.

As a Flat Bed Die Cutter Assistant Operator you will:

Support the lead operator in the safe and efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of corrugated flatbed die cutting equipment. This position plays a key role in maintaining production flow, assisting with tooling setup, ensuring product quality, and promoting a safe work environment. The Assistant Operator is expected to develop technical skills with the goal of becoming a fully qualified machine operator.

Support the setup and operation of the corrugated flatbed die cutter under the direction of the lead operator.

Assist in mounting/demounting die boards, stripping jigs, ejection rubbers, and other tooling.

Prepare and verify materials and tooling required for each job run, including dies, labels, and support materials.

Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.

Monitor product flow and assist with adjustments to ensure accurate scoring, cutting, and product quality.

Learn to identify and resolve basic issues related to channel scoring, knicking, and material handling.

Follow company Tool Handling Policy and standard operating procedures.

Communicate effectively with the operator and team members to support smooth shift transitions and problem-solving.

Assist in quality checks and inspection of finished goods.

This is a full time opportunity. Monday through Friday with OT as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working in a packaging company or manufacturingShift: 1st- 6am to 2:30pm and 2nd- 230pm to 11pm

Pay Rate: $20-$24 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
