Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

Join our team as a Quality Inspector, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality on our production line. You will collaborate closely with production leads to manage the full inspection process, conducting thorough product inspections at various stages including incoming, in-process, first piece, and final inspections. Your responsibilities will include measuring packaging materials, recording any issues or machine disruptions, and maintaining communication logs from previous shifts.

Responsibilities

Conduct product inspections for incoming, in-process, first piece, and final stages.

Measure packaging materials and record any issues or machine disruptions.

Maintain communication logs from previous shifts to ensure seamless transitions.

Utilize gauges and micrometers to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Measure particulates as small as 0.8 sq mm.

Carry up to 40 lbs and stand during shifts on the production line.Essential Skills

2 years of QC inspection experience in a production environment.

2 years of documentation experience.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

1 year of experience with micrometers or calipers.

Proficiency in reading rulers and tape measures with 1/16th and 1/32 of an inch graduations.

Must read and write English.Additional Skills & Qualifications

2 years of experience in flexible packaging or medical device industry.

Experience using gauges or calibration equipment.

Bilingual capabilities.

Tyvek material inspection experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and occasionally requires gowning up in sterile packaging line areas. You will be the sole employee on the Maintenance team, reporting to the Quality Manager and collaborating with the Production/Press Supervisor. The machines, though old, require collaboration with a maintenance technician for any discrepancies in specifications.

Job Type & Location

This is a position based out of Niles, Illinois.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
