Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC) to support modernization, conversion, and overhaul projects for both government and commercial vessels. This position is part of the program management team and is responsible for overseeing materials and subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a solid background in ship repair, subcontract management, and procurement regulations, along with the ability to coordinate across departments and ensure successful project execution.
Manage materials and subcontractors throughout the program lifecycle
Collaborate with procurement and subcontract administrators to ensure compliance with FAR, DFAR, NAVSEA, and commercial maritime standards
Communicate contract requirements, project specifications, and expectations to internal teams and subcontractors
Track subcontractor performance and resolve issues that may affect schedule or budget
Generate project reports to identify schedule or cost variances
Conduct ship checks, participate in project meetings, and assist with production scheduling and manpower planning
Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements, including NAVSEA, USCG, ABS, and OSHA
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Estimating, Quality Assurance, Environmental, and Production Support
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a ship repair or shipbuilding environment
Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and other relevant federal contracting requirements
Strong project coordination and subcontractor management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance metrics such as SPI, CPI, and BAC
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience accepted
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with NAVSEA or similar maritime programs
Familiarity with commercial and government contracting practices
Understanding of safety and environmental compliance in shipyard operations
