We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Slot Tech Manager. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Slot Tech Manager is responsible for managing the slot technical support staff and slot technical projects. This includes collaborating with other departments within the organization to assure an excellent guest experience as well as compliance. Works with team to ensure that Oaklawn's Core Values and Standards of Behavior are upheld. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Responsible for slot machine installations, moves, conversions, daily maintenance of non-operational gaming equipment and preventative maintenance.

Responsible for the hiring, training, evaluating, rewarding and apply disciplinary or corrective counseling to technical staff.

Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Complies with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identifies unsafe practices or conditions.

Maintains general awareness of gaming operation at all times and comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.

Provide excellent guest service for all internal and external guests of the Casino operations at all times and in all activates.

Oversees repair and maintenance of Electronic Gaming Devices and related gaming equipment.

Oversees the installation and removal of bases, chairs and signage.

Works in Cooperation with all team members to ensure the best guest service possible.

Assure Casino is in compliance with Federal, State and Company regulations and policies

Responsible for scheduling of all Technical Department team members.

Reviews operations procedures within his/her direct responsibilities, in an effort to maintain control over business fraud and ensure efficiency and integrity of operations.

Creates or initiates records, reports, and other administrative documentation in a timely manner as required to meet the expectations of the organization.

Maintains the security of designated areas and the confidentiality of all relevant information.

Motivates staff in order to develop a more qualified work force and monitor floor coverage.

Maintains advanced skill levels and immediately develop expertise required by new technologies for slot machines.

Performs general and preventive maintenance, slot machine inspection, machine moving and installation, all in accordance with established procedures.

Responsible for maintenance, repairs, and general operating condition of slot machines and Electronic Boards.

Assists with training all slot technicians.

Responsible for following internal control procedures as they apply to machine removal, installation, maintenance and key control.

Responsible for preventative maintenance program and logs.

Follows through and delegates work projects.

Adheres to Title 31 procedures.

Demonstrates positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times

Assist with marketing promotions as needed

Ensures cleanliness of shop area and in repair areas, reporting issues to appropriate department(s)

Assists in maintaining floor security by notifying department heads of any suspicious activity

Ensures that expectations and objectives are clearly communicated to subordinates; subordinates are also open to raise questions and/or concerns

Informs and/or updates the executive team, peers and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner

Communicates with various external vendors, processes invoices and communicates directly with accounts payable

Creates and maintains relationships with sponsors and vendors

Exhibits behavioral styles that convey confidence and earns respect from others; makes good first impression and represents the company in alignment with its values and standards

Evaluates and adapts the organizational units, jobs and processes to best fit business needs and/or support the goals of the business

Follows Purchasing/PO policies and procedures Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as the property’s internal controls, policies and procedures

Promotes fun, friendly, positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service

Maintain confidentiality of players' information and all OJC procedures

Ability to handle several tasks at the same time

Ability to lead by example and act as an ethical and positive role model

Ability to maintain a calm, professional and friendly demeanor in all situations

Ability to provide sound and measurable backup to support any/all recommendations for change

Ability to supervise, coordinate, direct and assign work

Knowledge of gaming, federal and state reporting requirements

Ability to use a hand-held radio for communications

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Associates degree (A.A) from technical school; or one to five years in Slot management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Electronics or computer degree or certification preferred

2+ years supervisory experience

Guest service experience is a must

CAD experience a plus

Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.

Excellent skills in both written and oral communication.

Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and have knowledge of Slot operating systems.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.

Responsible for staff development and training programs.

Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.

Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.

Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.

Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.

Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
