Position Overview:
The Human Resources Coordinator will play a key role in supporting daily HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee records management, hourly recruiting, and workers' compensation coordination. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required to effectively communicate with our diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of the onboarding process, including reference checks, document collection, I-9 verification, and orientation facilitation
Maintain and organize employee personnel files, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company policies
Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
Support benefits administration activities, including enrollments, changes, COBRA communications, and open enrollment processes
Liaise with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely employee data processing
Assist with recruiting activities such as posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications
Generate and maintain HR reports including headcount, turnover metrics, and compliance tracking
Support workers' compensation claims and leave of absence documentation and communication
Ensure compliance with labor law posting requirements at all work locations
Assist with planning and execution of HR events such as trainings, employee recognition programs, and wellness initiatives
Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and professionalism
Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a Human Resources support role
Strong knowledge of California and federal labor laws (wage and hour, EEO, leaves of absence)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal) — required
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times

Work Environment:
This is a 100% onsite role at the manufacturing facility in Petaluma, CA.
