We are proactively seeking experienced Automotive Payroll Coordinator candidates for our Corporate Office Location in North Bergen, NJ.
Automotive Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities:
The Automotive Payroll Coordinator compiles accurate payroll data to maintain payroll records.
• Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, salaried, commission and any deductions to be withheld from time sheets and other records in order to compensate employees accurately
• Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
• Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, benefit coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records
• Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments and dealerships
• Responsible for preparing periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
• Prepares and issues paychecks
• Maintains accurate employee payroll files
• Maintains accurate I9 binder for active employees
• Responsible for hiring/terminating employees immediately in the system. Payroll department prompts benefit and cobra correspondences
• Creates weekly management reporting
• Performs filing and upkeep of employee payroll records.
• Generates computer report of payroll activities for the management.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Payroll Manager
Payroll Coordinator Qualifications
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now Payroll System preferred
• Individuals employed in this position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and management
• Individuals employed in this position must demonstrate organizational and time management skills
• Individuals employed in this position must demonstrate sufficient computer literacy
• Individual employed in this position must possess a positive attitude and commitment to adhere to and administer company policies, procedures and standards
