Senior Quality Engineer – Automotive – QE / QA

Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 + Benefits & Paid Relocation to the Southern USA

About the Role: Join a dynamic automotive team as a Senior Quality Engineer, where you’ll be pivotal in ensuring product integrity and driving quality improvements with a zero-defect goal. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product development and launch activities, including design reviews, DFMA reviews, DCP reviews, and testing (DV and PV).

• Manage processes and system quality requirements, new product development, and process changes.

• Supervise quality technicians and auditors.

• Develop Process Control plans and work on cycle time improvements, inventory reduction, scrap reduction, MRO costs, and labor costs.

• Identify improvement opportunities, develop proposals, and implement training for mistake-proofing.

• Spearhead Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in a Quality role within the automotive industry.

• Proficiency with automotive Quality tools such as QS-9000, TS-16949, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, Process Flow, and Corrective Actions.

• Experience with Problem Solving methodologies like 5 Why and 8-D.

• Knowledge of advanced quality planning, inspection, and techniques.

• Experience managing supplier relationships.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and typical QA software.
