Position Summary
Job Functions: Packaging Support
Verify packaging lines have enough supplies to support production (boxes, plastic, skids, etc.)
Move skids of product (with yellow transfer stickers on them) to the shipping area
Incoming supplies should be documented on a Production Inventory Form (PIC). Place copy of all packaging department receiving documentation and bills of laden (BOL) in designated packaging department area
Review packaging schedule and stage supplies on floor level rack prior to production (ITVM and/ or agent cards, labels, ribbons, red bar, blank cards, etc.)
Move full waste cages to shredder room during shift as needed
Shrink wrap and move full skids of cores to shredder room during shift
Dump trash from packaging lines as needed
Replenish core plug inventory at end of each press as needed
Maintain/ organize corrugated product in designated racks and complete a utility check list as required
Maintain clean and clutter free walkways, tunnels and staging areas in and around all packaging lines
Perform operator maintenance on forklift (i.e. charging, water level checks, etc.) as required
Move waste rolls that are clearly marked for destruction to the shredder room staging area
Put game overage rolls and unused agent samples in pending area. Verify with Sr. Lead before moving to the shredder room
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Functions: Press/ Shipping Support
Unload all incoming materials to include paper rolls, corrugated, skids, and other required items
Check all shipments of paper rolls for damage
Inspect all incoming packages for damages. Notify the receiving department if damages exists, complete damage report
Inspect received materials, verify that the materials match the packing list (sign/ date packing list)
Place all receiving documentation and Bills of Lading (BOL) in proper location
Deliver rolls of paper to Press when requested
Deliver secured waste to the shred room
Deliver all full trash bins from the Press area to the trash compactor/ dumpster and empty for reuse
Move and organize defective rolls when identified
Maintain all walkways in the plant are clean and free of clutter
Perform operator maintenance on forklifts such as charging, water level checks, etc. as required
Use two-way radios with established policy
Complete daily checklist
Assist training of associates when required
Load labelines and repack with designated games in specific game order
Band and wrap finished pallets as specified by working papers
Store product in unique order to facilitate proper loading of trucks/ containers
Assist in other areas/ departments when needed
Perform all other duties as assigned
Able to perform all the duties of the Material Handler – Shipping Support
Additional Job Description
Position Requirements/Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills/Abilities: Language Skills:
Good verbal and written communications skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations
