Autocad Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafting and Building Plan Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting, approval plan preparation, estimate and quantity works, as well as expertise in stability certificate preparation for various types of buildings, including commercial and industrial structures. This role involves preparing comprehensive drawings, estimates, and documentation to support the construction process from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

AutoCAD Drafting:

Utilize AutoCAD software to create accurate and detailed drawings for various construction projects, including commercial and industrial buildings.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings.

Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and project specifications.

2.Approval Plan Preparation:

Prepare and submit approval plans for regulatory review and approval, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Coordinate with authorities and agencies to expedite the approval process and address any concerns or revisions required.

3.Estimate and Quantity Works:

Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare estimates for materials, labor, and other project costs.

Utilize industry-standard methodologies and software to accurately quantify materials and resources required for construction projects.

Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to develop comprehensive budgets and cost projections.

4.Stability Certificate Preparation:

Prepare stability certificates for all types of buildings, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with engineering standards.

Work closely with structural engineers to analyze building designs and ensure stability and safety throughout the construction process.

5.Scheme Drawing and FMP Sketch:

Develop scheme drawings and preliminary sketches to explore design concepts and facilitate decision-making during the planning phase.

Prepare Fire Management Plan (FMP) sketches to outline fire safety measures and evacuation procedures for building occupants.

6.Topo Sketch and BOQ Preparation:

Create topographical sketches to assess site conditions and inform site planning and development.

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects, detailing the quantities and specifications of materials required for each aspect of the build.

7.Commercial and Industrial Building Drawings:

Generate detailed drawings and plans for various types of commercial and industrial buildings, including offices, warehouses, factories, and retail spaces.

Ensure that drawings accurately reflect design intent, structural requirements, and functional considerations.

8.Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) Preparation:

Develop Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) to specify the details and quantities of reinforcement steel required for concrete structures.

Collaborate with structural engineers and contractors to ensure that BBS accurately reflects project requirements and design specifications.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant drafting tools.

Extensive experience in drafting, estimation, and quantity surveying for construction projects.

Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Prior experience in stability certificate preparation, BOQ preparation, and BBS development is preferred.
