Payroll Specialist ($70-75k, depending on experience)

**UKG experience required**

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and related HR tasks using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll disbursements while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and review payroll data accurately and efficiently using UKG software.

Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings based on employee information and relevant regulations.

Collaborate with HR team members to ensure accurate onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees.

Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.

Handle wage and withholding adjustments as necessary, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.

Generate and distribute payroll reports to appropriate stakeholders.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters in a timely and professional manner.

Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for process improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred.

Previous experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit organization.

Proficiency in using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software is required.

Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and interact with employees at all levels.

High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
