Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a VMWare Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:

Leverage existing infrastructure designs to further improve capacity forecasting, lifecycle management, and disaster recovery solutions for the enterprise.

Coordinate and facilitate meetings with application and system teams to determine dependency management, visualization and improved operations.

Capture, document, analyze and comprehend requirements.

Design, document, develop, deploy, maintain and operate capabilities within modeling systems, data analysis tools, data staging systems and visualization systems.

Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems.

Design, document, develop, deploy, maintain and operate bi-directional integration with corporate systems.

Administer and support tooling and associated methods to support Ecosystem Mapping processes and procedures.

Supports the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions.

Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc.

May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise.

Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems.

May serve as the primary contact for vendors.

Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred or related field or 10+ years of experience.

Experience with VMWare technologies

Experience with backup and disaster recovery concepts and technologies

Zerto experience is a plus

Advanced VMware software suite experience; 3+ years of experience preferred.

Cisco, Dell, HPE, Lenovo hardware implementation and management experience.

Working experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI and\or Ansible

Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet project deadlines.

Analytical, excellent communications, quick learner, self-starter.

Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions.

Strong customer service focus.

Ability to contribute ideas to extend and enhance methodology in a synergistic manner.

Working knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, and familiarity with firewalls, hubs, routers, switches, DNS, gateways, load balancing and basic network analysis/troubleshooting

Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines and\or after hours support. #LI-Remote
