YOUR PURPOSE:

The Principal DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in orchestrating seamless software application integration and deployment across our infrastructure. With an emphasis on leveraging DevOps-agnostic tools, AWS, and Azure services, this role requires proactive automation, infrastructure management, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, infrastructure as code (IaC), and security best practices, alongside a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Responsibilities:

Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation of build, test, and deployment processes.

Lead the adoption and management of cloud services, prioritizing scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.

Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to efficiently provision and manage cloud resources.

Enhance security posture by securing sensitive data and credentials.

Implement consistent and predictable deployments for creating identical machine images.

Automate provisioning, deployment, and management of infrastructure and applications.

Manage artifacts and dependencies to ensure reliable access to binary repositories.

Foster a DevOps culture by collaborating with cross-functional teams and emphasizing automation and proactive incident management.

Continuously assess and adopt new technologies and tools to address evolving business needs and technical challenges.

Mentor team members in DevOps best practices, tools, and technologies, promoting a culture of learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Proven expertise in AWS and Azure cloud services, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and service management.

Extensive experience with Terraform, Bicep, HashiCorp Vault, Packer, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps for infrastructure as code and CI/CD.

Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and automation.

Knowledge of Nexus, JFrog repository, or similar tools for artifact management.

Strong background in containerization technologies and orchestrators like Docker and Kubernetes.

Proficient in scripting and automation using shell scripts, Python, or other scripting languages.

Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for ensuring high availability and performance.

Familiarity with network, security, and database administration in a cloud environment.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

Experience:

7+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, and cloud infrastructure management with a proven track record of leading successful DevOps initiatives.

Extensive experience working with AWS, Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, Packer, GitHub Actions, Ansible, and Nexus.
