Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant, VDI Architect with AVD Implementation Experience

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining VDI environments to meet the organization's needs for efficient and secure desktop virtualization.

Responsibilities

end-to-end VDI solutions based on business requirements, including infrastructure design, virtual desktop provisioning, network configuration, and user access policies.

the implementation of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions, including deploying host pools, managing images, configuring user profiles, and integrating with Azure services.

and optimize VDI infrastructure components for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, including virtualization platforms, storage systems, and networking infrastructure.

security best practices and compliance standards for VDI environments, including data encryption, access controls, endpoint protection, and audit logging.

improve the user experience by optimizing desktop performance, application delivery, and remote access capabilities.

technical support and troubleshooting for VDI-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems and minimize downtime.

technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials for VDI administrators and end-users.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

of 10 years of experience designing and implementing VDI solutions, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) implementation.

in VDI technologies such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS).

understanding of Azure services, particularly Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Active Directory, and Azure networking.

with scripting and automation tools for VDI deployment and management (PowerShell, ARM templates, etc.).

or master’s degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

of desktop operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server) and desktop management tools (Group Policy, Intune, SCCM).

certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent certifications are preferred.

communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving project goals.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$80,000 to $100,000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
