The Controller will be responsible for managing a mid-sized accounting team, and overseeing all of our day-to-day accounting operations including cost accounting, financial reporting, general ledger, AP, AR, etc. The Controller should have 3+ years in a similar role, ideally within the Manufacturing industry.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

Conducting month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Perform cost accounting functions and improve processes for inventory control.

Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.

Coordinating the preparation of the corporate annual report and budget.

Providing financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Leading the budgeting and financial forecasting processes, including variance analysis.

Developing and managing effective inventory control measures to optimize operational efficiency.

Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

Evaluating and managing risk, implementing effective internal controls.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industries.

Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Experience with month-end close, budget analysis, variance analysis, and inventory control.

Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to strategize and solve problems.
