Job Description

We are seeking a results-oriented IT Engineer to manage our company's computer infrastructure and supervise our IT department. You will be upgrading and installing hardware and software, performing troubleshooting to resolve IT issues, and maintaining our networks and servers. To ensure success as an IT administrator, you should possess extensive experience in IT administration and the ability to optimize the performance of our IT infrastructure.Job Duties

Support and maintain company data and technological infrastructure

Repair, upgrade and configure laptop computers, servers, and various office peripherals

Provide technical assistance and remote computer or network support to end users

Apply updates and patches to enterprise applications

Perform server patch maintenance, system and server backups and data archiving

Implement and maintain firewall systems to protect the company's systems from potential threats

Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and connection issues

Create new user accounts and change or delete existing accounts per request, and perform access control

Perform diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.

Document processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.

Keep up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.

Ensure the organization remains compliant with industry standard and certification (for example, SOC2)

Lead the organization through new certifications or re-certification processesRequired Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.

Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification.

At least five years' experience in a similar role.

Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.

Experience managing a M365 or O365 environment.

Familiarity with Slack, Vanta, Jira – a plus.

Experience working with an ITSM ticketing system (Service Now a plus).

Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.

Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong ownership bias.

This is a primarily remote position, however occasional travel might be required to our corporate office in Boston, MA

Base Salary

$80,000—$100,000 USD
