CDW is seeking a SQL Database Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity in the Dallas, TX area.

Job Type: Long-term contract that will continue to renew annually

Location: 70% remote, 30% onsite in Dallas, TX

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and administration, with expertise in SQL Server technologies. The SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain SQL Server databases in a high-availability environment.

Perform database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexes, and database parameters.

Implement and maintain database security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.

Collaborate with software developers and system architects to design efficient database schemas and data models.

Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on database-related issues.

Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in database administration.

Installing, configuring, and maintaining server operating systems and software. This includes tasks like user management, security configuration, and software updates.

Monitoring system performance and resource usage to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Implementing and managing backup solutions to protect data integrity and facilitate disaster recovery in case of system failures.
