Cytel is looking for an experienced salesforce.com administrator and developer to join the corporate IT team. This person will work closely with our Sales, Marketing, Quality, and Finance teams to support our customer relationship management and quality management processes that run on the salesforce.com platform, and the related integrations with other line of business and web applications.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings, etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security).
Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, custom workflow and approval processes.
Perform daily administration, maintenance and support of the Salesforce platform (Sales, Service, Marketing, etc) including, but not limited to ongoing documentation and data integrity, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validations, and automation
Run and store the weekly snapshot (data export) of the system data and attachments, including all history tables
Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, and data integrity
Educate users with proactive practices to enhance and increase their knowledge of Salesforce.com.
Research changes in upcoming versions of salesforce.com and other integrated applications; provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Develop relationships with business partners to support new development initiatives
Elicit program requirements through focused collaboration, meetings, conference calls
Define user requirements, use cases, workflows, processes in the form Epics, and User Stories, and formulate test plans and test cases supporting them
Implement improvements and custom projects individually or by working with partners
Competencies:
Strong analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements, epics, and user stories
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Ability to create workflow, define and implement business processes and provide detailed reporting
Experience with AppExchange and other third party, open source solutions.
Experience troubleshooting and finding multiple solutions to a complex problem
Experience working within both a team environment and independently
Ability to read and understand Visual Force and Apex code
Technical Skills:
Project Management and Risk Mitigation
Salesforce.com Advanced Administrator (ADM 301) Certification a plus.
Expert ability with Salesforce.com reporting and dashboards.
Strong Salesforce.com skills with custom objects, workflows, data management, data loader
Microsoft Office, Visio, MS Project
Agile Development Tools and Methodologies, and Experience with JIRA and Confluence a plus
Experience:
3-5 years of Salesforce Administration experience
Experience in Pharma Industry a plus
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science
