Summary/Objective

The Controller oversees the accounting operations for the Company to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or tax basis principles, as applicable.

Essential Functions

1. Financial Management: Manage the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in accordance with GAAP.

2. Accounting: Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.

3. Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Use this information to inform strategic decision-making and to develop recommendations for improving the financial performance of the company.

4. Tax Compliance: Ensure that the company is in compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Prepare and file all required tax returns in a timely manner.

5. Internal Controls: Develop and maintain a system of internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of its financial records.

6. Team Management: Manage and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals. Provide guidance and support to ensure that the team is able to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.

7. Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present financial reports to the CFO, Executive Committee, and Owners. Communicate financial information to other stakeholders, including investors and lenders, in a clear and concise manner.

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Speak and hear.

Sit at a desk for extended periods of time.

Manipulate, handle, grip materials required to perform job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Some regional travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field;

CPA preferred.

10+ years accounting experience in a managerial position.

Results-driven personality eager to partner with upper management to organize, plan and achieve company financial goals.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Exceptional time management and ability to problem solve under pressure.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of the related job market.

Background and credit check will be completed.
