Job Description

We are looking for an on-site, driven Reservations Specialist in the restaurant industry to assist our guests with their booking needs. You will provide various planning and booking services, including answering guests’ questions, and making dining and event recommendations. Business development professionals are encouraged to apply.

Reservations Specialist Responsibilities:

Assisting and advising customers who may be choosing from a variety of dining/event options.

Making reservations for customers based on their various requirements and budgetary allowances.

Checking the availability of accommodation on the customers’ desired dining/event dates.

Sorting out any issues that may arise with bookings or reservations.

Selling and promoting reservation services.

Answering any questions customers might have about the reservation process.

Up-selling, when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services.

Providing support to customers who may need to amend or cancel a reservation.

Reservations Specialist Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred

Experience working in business development, sales, event sales/promotions, or related field

Experience using dining reservation software (OpenTable, etc)

Customer-service experience via phone, email, and in-person.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Proficient in Microsoft office suite.

Point-of-Service experience helpful (Toast, Aloha, etc)

Flexible work schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays)

Professional appearance in an upscale environment
