VDI Stack Monitoring Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure smooth operation of VDI platforms, both cloud-based and on-premises.

- Drive operational excellence through automation and proactive monitoring.

- Collaborate with international teams, vendors, and end-users to enhance VDI platform stability and availability.

- Lead in maintaining and standardizing the BMW enterprise VDI infrastructure.

- Plan and execute maintenance tasks, focusing on operational stability and improvement.

- Implement automation solutions for platform operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

- Install, configure, and deploy virtual apps and desktop images.

- Harden application and server security, ensuring a robust infrastructure.

- Utilize application monitoring tools to ensure performance and reliability.

Essential Skills:

- Experience in Azure Monitoring Tools

- Proficiency in VMWare Horizon Cloud, preferably Next Gen

- Knowledge of Azure Networking

- Familiarity with VMWare Workspace ONE Access and Unified Endpoint Management

- Expertise in Scripting (Powershell) and Scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)

- Hands-on experience with Citrix Xen-Desktop, Xen-App, and Netscaler

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem management)

Advantageous Skills:

- Experience with cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS)

- Familiarity with Microsoft W365

- Proficiency in VDI technologies (Microsoft and VMware Horizon)

- Knowledge of automated problem remediation and machine learning for data analytics

Qualifications and Experience:

- University degree in relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering)

- 5+ years of experience in IT operations

- Proficiency in Citrix VDI and App stack operations

- Experience with Windows desktops and server support

- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Problem, Incident, Change management)
